A Busy Few Days

Image
Thursday was Bayside's " The Shore Summer Warm-Up." It was a night of fun, inflatables, worship, food, talking with friends and a concert featuring " Flatlin ." Friday we had some friends over for dinner and watched the traffic cams around Downtown Sacramento as the " Fix I-5 " project started. Sunday it's off to church and friend's house for a "Welcome to Summer Party."

From the Coast to the Lodge

I made an unexpected trip back to San Francisco on Wednesday night to staff a booth for the California Partnership for Access to Treatment at the 8th Annual National Conference on Immunization and Health Coalitions . I stayed in one of the nicest (and cheapest) San Francisco hotels I've ever been to, it was quiet, had a flat screen TV and it wasn't claustrophobic. On my way back to Sacramento Thursday night I was able to go to International Association of Business Communicators' " Crystal Awards " at the Grand Ballroom in Sacramento, where my firm, Perry Communications Group , again took home many awards for all of our hard work throughout the year. Memorial Day weekend started early for me, I was able to work from home and then go to the Bradley Lodge Friday afternoon. "Help is Here Express" Bus Tour

I have been traveling with the Partnership for Prescription Assistance's " Help is Here Express " over the last few days. I met the bus in San Francisco for the 4th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration in Japantown , after spending the night at the Hotel California in Union Square and eating at the Daily Grill . Once back in Sacramento I met up with the bus driver, Eric, for dinner at Chris Webber's Center Court , where we saw the Oscar Mayer " Wienermobile ." The bus has made four stops in Sacramento over the last few days, helping many people learn more about prescription assistance programs and for the next few days it will stay in the area, before it heads off to the East Coast to continue helping more communities learn about prescription assistance programs.

Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day this weekend away from home. Saturday we went to my brother's house in Mountain View to see Luke. While Natalie, my grandma and mom went to a traditional tea at Filoli Gardens , the guys (my dad, brother, Luke and I) went to Kapp's Pizza . After fun times and conversation we headed back to my grandma's house in Lodi , where we did some work around her house on Sunday. Then it was back to our house to celebrate Mother's Day by watching the season finale of Survivor .
