Christmas at the Bradley Lodge

Another great Christmas spent with my family at the Bradley Lodge . It was the first Christmas for the Lodge, complete with snow, a tree and a visit from Santa, who allowed me to ski at Bear Valley on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My aunt, uncle and two cousins flew in from Texas, so it was great to see them and of course share some great food, including a seafood cioppino and prime rib! During our stay at the lodge, about 8 inches of additional snow fell, giving us the opportunity to clean off the driveway with our snow blower and watch it get plowed by the professionals, always cool. We also went to Christmas Eve service at the " Chapel in the Pines ." The best part though, skiing on Christmas Day, in 5 hours of skiing, my dad and I did 30+ runs, beating our chair on the chairlift by at least 25 chairs, yes that means going from the top of the hill to the bottom on the hill in about 3 minutes, 5 minutes if I was doing black diamonds. So from wine tasting in Murphy...

Luke's Sip and See

Well not everyone could make it to Mountain View to see my nephew, so family and family friends were invited to come see him today. Over 50 people came to see the newest Bradley and enjoy some great food. If you scroll down you can also see the newest " Stair Pictures ," although not annual, whenever we get the group together we try to take the picture, it's evolved a little since the day we moved into this house, adding girlfriends that have become wives and now Luke!

Experience Christmas at Bayside ...

Below are some pictures of Bayside in Granite Bay/ Roseville , it's the church I go to and it's awesome ... if you don't have anywhere to go for a Christmas Eve Service , they have 10 of them, starting this Thursday (yes, well before Christmas Eve), all will be amazing and a great time to remember the "Reason for the Season." If you're afraid of going to church or haven't been in awhile there's no better time to try out Bayside or another local church.

PCG Winter Wonderland Holiday Party 2007

'tis the season for work holiday parties .... my office had ours on Friday night at the CEO's house, always nice. With a selection of wines and other beverages, great food and even better (and funnier) conversations everyone had a great time. We had the customary gift exchange and played a few others games, where I won a gift certificate to McCormick & Schmick's , so that will make for a nice lunch sometime soon.

Pre-Christmas Trip to the Bradley Lodge

Well, we took a day trip up to the " Bradley Lodge " to see how it looked in the snow and to get everything set up for family that is coming for Christmas. In less than 5 hours of being at the cabin we: hooked up two televisions with surround sound, put up a new outside light, hooked up a new freezer in the garage, put food away for Christmas and did tons of other stuff. Here are a few pictures of the newly installed deck and door out of the Rec Room (that now includes a bumper pool table) and of course, the snow!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was another amazing chance to see my family and of course spend more time with the newest Bradley ... Luke , my 2 month old nephew. It was also nice for friends and other relatives to come up to the Bradley Lodge for a few days to see our new cabin, located in Big Tree's Village near Big Trees State Park and Bear Valley Mountain Resort . We walked among the largest trees on Earth (by volume, California's Coastal Redwoods are the tallest), took lots of pictures and looked up at some branches and limbs that were larger than many trees. All of this and Luke slept through the whole thing, I guess we'll have to go back when he is a little bit older. Between hours of board games, wine tasting, movies, bumper pool, puzzles and of course eating , it was a busy, yet relaxing time at the Bradley Lodge with the Bradley family and friends. additional photos available on LifeSnacks

First Post

This is my first "blog" post, I'd like to call this a "soft launch" of my new blog, so we will see when the Grand Opening really takes place. For now, I have added a few slide shows of pictures from the last two years of my life, everything from trips with friends and family to my many travels for work up and down California and Nevada. I am sorry there are so many pictures, it was hard to decide which of the thousands of pictures to choose from ....
