Christmas at the Bradley Lodge

Another great Christmas spent with my family at the Bradley Lodge. It was the first Christmas for the Lodge, complete with snow, a tree and a visit from Santa, who allowed me to ski at Bear Valley on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My aunt, uncle and two cousins flew in from Texas, so it was great to see them and of course share some great food, including a seafood cioppino and prime rib! During our stay at the lodge, about 8 inches of additional snow fell, giving us the opportunity to clean off the driveway with our snow blower and watch it get plowed by the professionals, always cool. We also went to Christmas Eve service at the "Chapel in the Pines." The best part though, skiing on Christmas Day, in 5 hours of skiing, my dad and I did 30+ runs, beating our chair on the chairlift by at least 25 chairs, yes that means going from the top of the hill to the bottom on the hill in about 3 minutes, 5 minutes if I was doing black diamonds. So from wine tasting in Murphy's to skiing at Bear Valley to just having fun watching the snow fall and playing cards, Christmas 2007 was great!
