I just got home from a great family cruise. Although sometimes difficult to say who we were traveling with ( see previous post ), we all had a great time on board the Royal Caribbean's " Liberty of the Seas ." On day 1, we all flew from Washington , Oregon , California , Utah and Texas and met at the Miami International Airport with our 30+ bags (that included carry-on’s) and went to our hotel for the night. Day 2 we saw our ship for the first time, it dwarfed the other 3 cruise ships at the Port of Miami and we knew we were about to have a great time on board. While at sea we ate some amazing food and even went to Johnny Rockets for lunch, climbed the rock wall, watched an ice skating show, played miniature golf and soccer, rode the FlowRider , tried our luck in the Casino, admired the nightly towel animals, worked out at an amazing gym and of course relaxed in the sun and around the pools. Now that 2010 has officially started, I decided to look back at some of the highlights and low-lights of 2009 as told through my my blog . It was a year of firsts, I bought my first car , I bought my first house , I attended my first Social Media Conference and for both good and bad, for the first time I was laid-off . I got to travel to exotic cities around California, like Ukiah and Cresent City with the Partnership for Prescription Assistance , meet new people, spend time with my family at the Bradley Lodge , see my nephew lots, help move my brother into his new home in Redwood City , help at a variety of Bayside events, including Thrive and Experience Christmas . I attended weddings of friends , played mini-golf , watched the Oasis of the Seas get built and set sail and so much more. 2009 was a great year and I look forward to job offers in 2010 and being able to spend even more time with friend and family as I continue through this journey called life.

Fort Bradley had its first “trick or treaters” and was even called "the cool house" by a few young creatures, which is always a good sign. Before the kids came in costume we headed out to Dave's Pumpkin Patch in West Sacramento (which if you could swim across the Sacramento River , is directly across from my parent's house) for some Corn Maze fun and I went on a few Mountain Bike Rides with a new group I found through Facebook and Meetup around Folsom Lake and Lake Natoma . In other news Royal Caribbean's newest ship set sail this week, the Oasis of the Seas is heading from its ship yard in Finland to Florida this week and will be on Good Morning America on November 20th, so set your DVRs (or wake up early), because this ship ( floating metropolitan city is probably a better term) is truly amazing.
