River Cats

I try to go to at least one River Cats game a year and my trip this year was a special one.  On Wednesday afternoon I was having lunch at Costa Vida with a Bible Study that I am in and one of the guy's got an e-mail letting him know that the Smile Business Products Suite was available for Thursday night's game against the Portland Beavers.  Although the home team lost 5 to 4, the Suite was amazing.  First it wasn't in the sun (I normally sit on the third base side), second it had air conditioning, third it had amazing food (hamburgers, hot dogs, fantastic potato salad, rich chocolate brownies and of course peanuts and popcorn), fourth it was a Suite, fifth, well it was a Suite.  This now brings my Suite visits to about three, most of them in the Raley's Suite at Arco Arena, which begs the question if Raley's has a Suite at Arco Arena does Arco (BP) have a Suite at Raley Field? The one Suite I know I may not get, the Luxury Box or Sky Box upgrades at Bayside's Thrive 2010.

Snow at Fort Bradley

After a great open house with friends and family at Fort Bradley, a birthday dinner at Zocolo and watching Blind Side , I did not think the day could get much better ... but then it started to snow. Fort Bradley is looking more and more like the Bradley Lodge and is becoming a " Winter Wonderland ." Or maybe it's beginning to look a little more like Christmas .

Celebrating Peanut Butter and Pancake Days, Skiing and Friends

It was a week of varied experiences. I used my Chick-Fil-A Calendar Card for an order of free fries (and also ordered a wrap and ice cream sundae ) while out to dinner with a friend, then joined my parents for the weekend at the Bradley Lodge . My dad and I got a beautiful day of skiing in at Bear Valley ... beautiful since so much snow had fallen. My mom and grandma went all out on dinner and we celebrated Peanut Butter Day with a dessert of Reese's Chips Ahoy Cookies and Reese's Peanut Butter Pie (funny part ... we had no idea it was going to be Peanut Butter Day in advance, we just already had those items and it made for a good excuse to eat them). On Sunday I met with with friends at Rolling Hills Christian Church for a night of worship and baptism and then we headed to dinner at Casa Ramos ... my plate of food was giant (I actually brought leftovers home).
